Experimenting with different materials has always been a big part of my life as I was growing up, from making simple jewelry to elaborate pictures and mirrors out of leather. Anything I could get my hands on was used in my process of making art.
After finishing Graphic and Design College in Germany, I worked in a Bronze Foundry designing alphabets and working in wax and clay to create the models for the casting process.
A few years ago, after getting settled in Nevada County, I took up my old old hobby of making Jewelry again, and it has been a journey for me ever since. I absolutely love working with gemstone and metal, and although I had no prior education in metal fabrication I loved the challenge and I have not looked back since. A lot of my pieces I create start as an idea and undergo an evolutionary process until I believe they are done.
